Hey All... I was given some old 1960s car magazines today & in the October 1968 issue of DUNE BUGGIES The Fun Car Journal, on page 36, there is an article on how to put a "under the dash" FridgeKing Explorer air conditioning unit in your F/G Buggy! They're installing it in a Meyers Manx that the owner was going to installed a f/g top & side-curtain doors on!
He said when he drove the Manx "roundtrip" to Las Vegas to see the Stardust 7-11 off-road race & while pulling the long, uphill 18 mile Baker Grade, it was cold enough in the Buggy that he could see his breath!
Now that is cool, literally!!!
