Gary....we used a sawz-all and cut along the tunnel lip from the underside of the pan. Then I took a hammer & chisel and removed the remaining strip of the lip of the pan on the top side of the tunnel. This lip MUST be stripped of the remains of the old pan as well as the spot welds. After ALL the "crap" is removed from the lip on the tunnel, grind it down smooth & clean in prep for welding. I drilled a series of 3/16" holes approx 1 1/2" apart around the perimiter of the pans, which we then plug welded to that nice clean lip to attach the floor pans. Whatever way you chose to weld the pans on, be sure that you have someone press down on the pan edge to make sure it makes a tight contact with the lip on the tunnel. When it's all welded in , seal up the seams , top & bottom & then finish as you like. I used "Herculiner" on mine....I like the way it came out...If you check out the pics that Lee linked to, it's ALL there.!!! GOOD LUCK & take pics, I like to see other's work...imageimageimage
