It's an on-road run so I'm not sure if that counts or not but I like taking the drive from Brea to Chino Hills via Carbon Canyon Rd. (state Hwy 142). It's a fun little canyon road with a couple of good hills, a wicked set of S-turns on one end and (at least not yet) not too many housing developments. Many times I'll make a change to my 'Buggy and then run it through the canyon and back just to make sure everything is working good.
Silverado Canyon is one of my other favs. I've only been on a couple off-road runs out there so I still like off-roading out there and a couple of times a week when the 55 is backed-up and I have time to kill I'll take the canyon road around the back way to South County, of course on those days I stay on the paved portion; bucket trucks don't do well off-road (ask me how I know)
