Off-Highway Vehicles

13.000 Introduction

Off-highway vehicles (OHV) are motor vehicles not otherwise registered under the California Vehicle Code, operated exclusively off the highways on lands that are open and accessible to the public. These vehicles must display an identification plate issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
